Prosthodontist

Dr. Robert DuBois trained at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ. He completed a Post-Graduate dental education program receiving his specialist certificate in Prosthodontics in 1994, after receiving his D.D.S. degree in 1992 from the School of Dental Medicine in Buffalo, NY. His passion and talent for his future craft became very obvious in dental school when he was selected to the O.K.U. National Dental Honor Society. He was also very active in his dental school student government, serving as both a class officer and a representative to the American Student Dental Association.

Dr. DuBois began practicing dentistry in the summer of 1993 in Dix Hills, NY. Soon after, he created a partnership with Dr. Paul Brandoff to create a practice that focused on Prosthodontics, Dental Implant Restoration, Cosmetic Dentistry and the treatment of difficult dental cases. Throughout his career, Dr. DuBois has always maintained a level of superior dentistry and comprehensive care while putting his patient’s needs first with an unmatched level of compassion and caring.

Dr. DuBois’ love for his profession is very obvious. He attends a variety of continuing dental education courses every year and always returns to his practice excited to implement and discuss his new ‘pearls of knowledge.’ He was a long-time member of the American College of Prosthodontics and maintains an active membership in the Suffolk County Dental Society, the New York State Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Northeastern Gnathological Society. His passion for education led him to begin teaching at the Stony Brook University Hospital in 1995. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology at the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. For more than 15 years, Dr. DuBois has been a Prosthodontic Attending with the General Practice Residency – aiding with patient treatment in their clinic, teaching a didactic course on Restoring Dental Implants and governing an inter-disciplinary seminar on dental treatment planning. He is also an integral part of the Post-Graduate Prosthodontic training program at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. DuBois is a life-long resident of Long Island growing up in Dix Hills. He and his beautiful wife, Kelly, have four outstanding children and currently live in Commack – only 5 minutes from the office. They enjoy vacationing, fine dining, and spending time with family and friends.
